Open Science Practices: Preregistrations and Registered Reports

Workshop Description

Open science is changing research, and this workshop is your chance to get ahead. Designed specifically for early career researchers, we will dive into the why and how of open science. We will focus on preregistration and registered reports, key tools to increase the transparency and impact of your research. In doing so, we will discuss how to apply open science principles to quantitative and qualitative research, as well as evidence synthesis. Led by Dr. Emma Norris and M.Sc. Rory Coyne, both committee members of the EHPS Open Science Special Interest Group, you’ll learn about the value of open science practices, and explore common barriers to(?) open science and how to tackle them. Throughout the workshop, you’ll be learning how to complete a study preregistration: with scope for you to work on your own project if relevant. No prior knowledge is needed – just bring your curiosity and research passion.

The workshop isn’t only about learning, but also about connecting. Expect to meet likeminded early career researchers and learn all about EHPS before it even officially gets started. Organized by CREATE, a subdivision of the European Health Psychology Society, this workshop is your launchpad into the world of open science. Join us and become part of a movement making research more transparent and reliable.
